Denise the Empathy Elephant™ is at the heart of our mission to promote empathy as a core value and necessary skill for clinicians, students, staff, and patients. To advance empathy education, The Empathy Elephant™ guides us in understanding the value of showing up with empathy and teaches us the core skills needed to use it.

 Through the use of Denise the Empathy Elephant™, The Empathy Project is training healthcare providers to be more humane and, at the same time, empowering patients to be effective participants in their own care.
